Techno-Functional Consultant Odoo

Responsibilities

• Take techno-functional ownership of Odoo implementation projects — from fit-gap analysis and conceptual design through configuration and development to go-live and hypercare.
• Analyze business processes in departments (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing) and map them to Odoo standard, customizing only where functionally justified.
• Facilitate workshops with business units, translate requirements into functional specifications, and present solution alternatives.
• Independently develop in Odoo (Python, XML views, OWL, custom modules) and perform code reviews for internal and external contributions.
• Design integrations with third‑party systems (e.g., Magento, Akeneo, payment providers), implementing them yourself or coordinating external partners.
• Plan and execute data migrations, and support UAT phases.
• Manage external Odoo partners from a functional and technical perspective, and validate deliverables.
• Train key users, maintain functional documentation, and provide support for production modules.

• Several years of experience with Odoo — as a developer or techno-functional consultant.
• Familiarity with Odoo core modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting) and a clear understanding of standard capabilities and limitations.
• Ability to analyze business processes and explain them clearly — to executives as well as to developers.
• Native-level German and good English for collaboration with external partners.
• Bonus:
  Odoo (Functional) certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with e-commerce processes or German accounting requirements.
