As a Dev Ops Cloud Engineer (Azure & Databricks), you will help operate and develop the platforms that support Vattenfall’s data, analytics and AI ambitions. Your expertise in Azure, automation and cloud governance will contribute directly to our purpose: enabling fossil-free living through digital innovation and smarter use of data.
Your roleWithin our Digital Platform Operations team, you will work with colleagues across cloud engineering, architecture, operations and data platforms to ensure that our Azure and Databricks environments remain secure, reliable and future-ready.
You will play a key role in advancing a modern enterprise data platform that enables data-driven decision-making across Vattenfall while continuously improving automation, governance and user experience.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing and operating Azure-based cloud platform solutions
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Git and automation tools
- Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code solutions using ARM, Bicep and scripting technologies
- Automate provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management of cloud resources
- Maintaining and improving self‑service platform capabilities based on .NET Core and Angular
- Ensuring platform reliability, availability and operational stability
- Supporting administration and continuous improvement of Azure Databricks and Snowflake environments
- Implementing security controls in alignment with enterprise policies and governance requirements
- Collaborating with architects, developers and operations specialists to deliver secure and scalable cloud services
- Operating and further developing Vattenfall’s Azure Databricks platform for analytics, data and AI workloads
- Managing identity and access controls through Azure AD integration and RBAC principles
- Supporting secure networking concepts including private endpoints and secure cluster connectivity
- Implementing and maintaining data governance capabilities using Unity Catalog and related Databricks services
- Managing platform resources using Infrastructure as Code approaches such as Terraform and ARM templates
- Establishing compute standards, governance controls and cost optimisation practices
- Enabling integrations with Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Snowflake and other enterprise services
- Supporting onboarding and adoption of platform capabilities across teams
- Contributing to monitoring, logging and security improvements throughout the platform landscape
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance, cost efficiency and sustainability of cloud services
- Enhancing automation and self‑service capabilities for platform users
- Supporting the introduction of new cloud, AI and analytics capabilities
- Helping to create a seamless developer and data practitioner experience across the platform ecosystem

Qualifications Who are you?You bring solid experience from cloud engineering environments and enjoy combining technology, security and automation to create reliable services for users. You are communicative, collaborative and enjoy working together with colleagues from different disciplines to solve complex challenges.
We believe you have- Several years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer or similar role in Azure environments
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks, preferably within operations, governance or platform engineering
- Strong understanding of Azure services including Networking, Storage, App Services, Virtual Machines and Entra (Azure AD)
