Head of Engineering - Berlin and Hamburg Connecting companies in Berlin and Hamburg to C/C++ Developers and Electronic Engineers

Based in Berlin, my client who are one of the leaders in safety technology are looking for an engineer with a passion for product quality and continuous improvement. You will work work in a global team helping to launch a wide range of systems - ranging from hardware to mobile apps.

Responsibilities:

• Gain a deep understanding of our products and how customers use them in real-world scenarios
• Analyse requirements for testability, traceability, clarity, and completeness
• Define verification and validation strategies for complex, integrated solutions
• Develop comprehensive test plans using industry best practices and tools
• Design, build, or assemble test setups, fixtures, and test equipment
• Execute tests, analyse results, and recommend next steps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product testability and strategy
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
• Contribute to both automated and manual testing efforts, including writing test scripts

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience in product validation, verification, or testing—ideally with electronics and embedded systems
• Familiarity with V&V methodologies and industry-standard tools
• Experience with requirements analysis or development
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Software/scripting experience (e.g., Python)
• Lab View experience
• Background in test automation or simulation tool development
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, analyzers, test benches)
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo)
