Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Field Engineer with expertise in manufacturing equipment automation, sensor technologies, and industrial IoT. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in turning manufacturing assets into IoT-enabled devices by selecting and installing sensors, analyzing process parameters, and integrating data into our cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze customers’ manufacturing processes to identify critical inputs and process parameters influencing product quality.
- Select, install, and integrate specific sensors to transform manufacturing equipment into IoT-enabled devices.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their quality systems and ensure Six Sigma standards where applicable.
- Work with controllers from leading manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, ABB) to integrate our solutions to the existing systems.
- Transform and communicate data to cloud-based platforms for analysis and optimization.
- Commission factory automation systems, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.
- Support the successful execution of digitalization projects with hands‑on expertise.
- Strong knowledge of sensor technologies and industrial IoT systems.
- Experience with non‑destructive testing (NDT)
- Ideally experienced with data analysis using big data and machine learning (Python, Pandas, Num Py).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably of metal deformation theory and wire drawing automation.
- Proficiency in quality systems, Six Sigma methodologies, and manufacturing standards.
- Hands‑on experience with factory automation systems and controllers (Siemens, ABB, or others).
- Evidence of significant contributions to the implementation of manufacturing automation and digitalization projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver technical solutions in dynamic and collaborative environments.
- Knowledge of programming and data integration tools such as SQL, Python and R.
- Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
- A minimum of 4‑6 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Familiarity with real-time data acquisition and monitoring in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in wire drawing automation or similar metal deformation processes.
- Background in commissioning automation systems and integrating them with cloud platforms.
