You will become part of the Material Flow Engineering Team and drive the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of GIGA Berlins Material Flow across the manufacturing lines and external warehouses. The successful candidate is a self-starter and can manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. This role requires working closely with Production Leaders and Associates, as well as Materials, Industrial Engineering, and other departments, to drive projects to success.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Planning of Material Flow Concepts within the factory
- Creation of Material flow Layouts for Lineside, Storage and Commissioning areas
- Optimization of existing Processes under consideration of lean productions / logistics approaches
- Preparation of the master data for the material flow system
- Managing your projects, budgets, and the timeline
- Conceptualize and plan needed equipment or special equipment if necessary
- Implementation of plan concepts with all interfacing departments and external vendors
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 2+ years of working experience (ideally in a logistic project management environment)
- Knowledge of material flow strategies in a dynamic manufacturing system
- Experience in the filed material flow, warehouse, and lineside planning within the automotive industry.
- Values people, ethics, commitment, fun and an engaging culture
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Very good written and spoken English skills (C1+)
- Good written and spoken German skills (B1+)
- Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt and improvise
- AutoCAD experience preferred
