Kleinanzeigen is the leading online classifieds market in Germany. Users buy and sell on Germany's No. 1 for classifieds mainly second-hand. In this way they make an active contribution to more sustainability. On average, more than 55 million ads are available in numerous categories – from children's supplies to electronics and real estate. Kleinanzeigen also offers small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to present their services online.
Around 35 million users per month make Kleinanzeigen one of the most widely used websites in Germany. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.
The Job:
Are you excited about shaping how millions of people discover, join and keep coming back to Germany's largest re-commerce marketplace?
As our new Senior Business Development Manager, Growth, you'll help shape the consumer growth strategy for Kleinanzeigen – identifying how we acquire the right users, activate them into successful trading, and build lasting engagement and loyalty.
You will work at the intersection of Strategy, Product, Marketing and Analytics, combining deep customer understanding with commercial thinking to identify and scale the growth opportunities that matter most.
From developing our user segmentation and loyalty strategy to shaping the future of our homepage and lifecycle experiences, you'll turn customer insights into initiatives that sustainably grow our marketplace.
Monthly Active Traders (MAT) will be a key measure of success: not simply bringing more users to Kleinanzeigen, but helping more people become and remain active participants in the marketplace.

- You communicate confidently in English;
German is a plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Shape our consumer growth strategy across acquisition, activation, engagement and retention, identifying the biggest opportunities to sustainably grow Monthly Active Traders.
- Develop our user segmentation strategy, using behavioural and marketplace data to understand which users matter most, what drives their behaviour and how we should serve them differently.
- Translate segmentation into actionable growth strategies across Product, Marketing, CRM and the wider customer experience.
- Develop and test our loyalty and engagement strategy, exploring propositions that increase repeat trading, frequency and long-term customer value.
- Help define the vision for Kleinanzeigen's homepage and entry experience, identifying how personalisation, discovery and relevance can better activate users and grow the marketplace.
