As a reflection of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to own all legal matters for the DACH region – spanning technology transactions, labour law and corporate governance – with the autonomy to make decisions and drive outcomes with minimal day‑to‑day oversight.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who takes ownership rather than waiting for direction, a with a technology transactional background. The role will report to the Legal Director, EMEA, (London‑based) and sits within the EMEA legal team, with seamless collaboration within the EMEA legal team, but also with the global legal team. This position can be office‑based in Germany or remote, including from outside Germany, provided the candidate is a German‑qualified lawyer.

Beyond owning DACH, you will be encouraged to take on ad hoc responsibilities across our broader legal organization, contributing to our ambitious objective to transform ourselves into the legal department of the future – with the opportunity to contribute to, lead, or implement initiatives that modernise how we deliver legal services worldwide, from automation to analytics.
This role also offers a path to expand your scope over time. Candidates who demonstrate strong ownership and initiative over time will have the opportunity to have increased responsibilities across the global legal organisation.
- Independently own DACH region from a legal standpoint, while working closely as part of the wider EMEA legal team – supporting EMEA, and global colleagues as needed
- EMEA lead supporting the DACH sales team
- Structure, draft, and negotiate master agreements for software, services, and cloud, statements of work, and other technology transactions affecting Centric Software's commercial business, managing a multi‑million‑euro transaction pipeline and negotiating directly with customer legal and procurement teams
- Advise regional management and executives on all aspects relating to commercial disputes and contribute to their resolution
- Collaborate as a trusted legal advisor and provide leadership to cross‑functional stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Finance, R&D, etc.) on topics such as labour law, corporate governance, marketing activities and other topics arising in your region
- Lead or contribute to global initiatives, including presenting to Centric Software’s executives
Skills and Qualifications
- German‑qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of relevant experience as a seasoned technology transactional lawyer, with strong substantive knowledge of IT/technology law needed to confidently draft and negotiate complex technology transactions, gained as in‑house legal counsel and/or in private practice
