Senior Legal Counsel

• Own all legal and data protection matters for FORMEL SKIN's German operations
• Serve as the sole legal presence on the ground in Germany
• Oversee medicinal product and medical device compliance, first-line litigation, and debt recovery
• Track AI and digital health requirements and advise product and engineering teams on compliant platform development
• Draft, negotiate, and manage German-law commercial agreements, including supply, patient, and vendor contracts
• Advise marketing and medical teams on German advertising, health claims, and consumer protection compliance
• Act as the primary contact for GDPR/BDSG compliance, including RoPA, DPIAs, breach response, and regulator liaison
• Manage corporate housekeeping, board and shareholder documentation, and statutory filings for the German entity
• Coordinate with the UK Group Legal team on group-wide governance policies
• Provide day-to-day employment law guidance on hiring, terminations, workforce structure, and works council requirements
• Establish scalable legal operations, templates, contract management tools, automation, and legal-tech processes
• Track legal matters, deadlines, and legal spend
• Advise senior stakeholders directly while collaborating with the UK Group Legal team

• Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (Volljurist/Volljuristin)
• 4+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Demonstrable experience operating as sole or lead counsel without close supervision
• Deep, current expertise in relevant domains of German and EU law
• Fluent in German and English, with ability to draft and negotiate confidently in both languages
• Comfortable handling commercial contracts, employment matters, and data breach responses
• Pragmatic and commercially minded approach to legal risk
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship-building skills
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry preferred
• Experience acting as or supporting a Datenschutzbeauftragter is a strong plus

Demonstrates expertise in German and EU law, with a focus on compliance, contract negotiation, and data protection. Capable of managing legal operations and providing strategic legal guidance in a regulated industry.
