Overview

DGA Group Europe is looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Associate (Consultant) to support our Public Affairs team in Berlin. As an Associate, your role will involve navigating political and policy challenges, working with top-tier businesses, and fostering innovation alongside our vibrant team in Berlin. Location

Berlin, Germany (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring political developments and policy trends
  • Preparing reports, presentations and other internal and external documents
  • Research and analysis on a range of policy topics, relating to, among others, digital and tech as well as the financial sector
  • Organising and participating in meetings and events
  • Client facing work as part of the account team to deliver public affairs and communications programmes for our clients
  • Conduction outreach programmes towards the German federal government, Bundestag, and other stakeholders
Expectations of a DGA Associate
  • Productive, self-starter with positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a fast-growing and dynamic global consultancy.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to support a team of experienced consultants in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong desire to work in a political environment and public affairs consultancy.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a policy-related field (political sciences, economics, politics, law, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a public affairs agency or policy-related job
  • Demonstrable interest in and understanding of German political, policy and legislative processes
  • Knowledge of the German political institutions and of German political decision-making
  • Knowledge via previous work experience of the digital/tech or finance sectors, if possible
  • Proven excellence in verbal and written communications with perfect German and excellent knowledge of English
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in an international team
  • Ability to work at pace, as part of a team, prioritise tasks and deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
  • A confident communicator, with the ability to understand and grasp detail
