Stellenbeschreibung
- Develop state-of-the-art optimization solvers for the steel industry
- Understand and analyse the complex business logic, constraints and objectives of our customers
- Translate the business logic into high-performance algorithms and
mathematical optimization models - Validate the performance and quality of your models by proper test- and benchmarks sets
- Manage and maintain the embedded role of the solver in a broader, modern backend architecture
- Explain and document your approaches and ideas to the team
- Experience in developing solutions for difficult combinatorial optimization problems from the industry
- Strong background in Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP), Linear Programming (LP) and combinatorial optimization algorithms
- Ability to build MIP models for real-world problems
- Experience in using optimization solving software like:
Gurobi, Xpress, SCIP, HiGHS, CBC ... - Strong C++ background (preferably C++20 or higher)
- Ability to explain complex concepts to your team
- Experience working in agile environments, containers and CI/CD concepts
- English is required, Fluency in German is a plus
- Transparency of business strategies
