We’re looking for a macOS Software Engineer to join our Grammarly for Mac team. This team is responsible for the end‑to‑end development of a product that brings Grammarly’s sophisticated AI directly to Mac users — helping people communicate better everywhere they write. From instantly improving a first draft to perfecting every message, Grammarly helps people at 96% of the Fortune 500 get their point across and get results.

As a macOS Software Engineer, you’ll build a complex, multifaceted product with real opportunities for creativity and innovative problem‑solving.

• Contribute to the foundation of a robust, well‑thought‑out architecture
• Innovate to break through technical limitations and deliver delightful features
• Build non‑trivial UX solutions with complex UI elements
• Achieve minimum latency while working with complex documents
• Ensure performance by applying your knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Develop shared components used across Grammarly’s Apple platform product offerings
• Use Swift, App Kit, and Core Graphics while employing engineering best practices

• Has strong knowledge of Swift, OOD, and OOP, as well as multithreading (GCD)
• Brings strong software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Is fluent in engineering best practices: code review, test coverage, and monitoring
• Is excited about finding optimal solutions in situations of uncertainty
• Enjoys fast‑paced delivery and a consistent feedback loop
• Has experience developing desktop applications that work with Mac internals (preferred but not required)
