Senior Frontend Engineer

Domaine is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the technical execution of custom Shopify themes and front-end development. This role requires extensive experience guiding Shopify projects, a deep grasp of Shopify best practices, and ease with modern technologies.

• Develop high-quality code using Liquid, JavaScript, Tailwind, GraphQL, and other front-end frameworks
• In-depth expertise with the Shopify Ecommerce platform
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively to maintain superior quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication to accurately convey issues to clients, developers, and project managers
• Strong attention to detail for identifying issues in acceptance criteria, edge cases, and potential concerns
• Make high-level decisions balancing code quality, issue resolution, and timely release
• Facilitate the release process to ensure all viewpoints are considered when deploying code to production
• Own medium to high complexity front-end feature development, driving completion and quality
• Plan and assign tasks to other engineering team members as needed
• Anticipate risks and propose effective solutions
• Break down complex requests into actionable solutions and tasks

• Proficient in Liquid, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, Git
• Experienced in Shopify development:
  Themes, APIs, Apps, Functions, Extensions
• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or similar ticket management systems
• 3-5 years of eCommerce experience
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of front-end, component-driven software technology, and microservice design architecture
• Thorough understanding of user behaviors and marketing principles in eCommerce
• Solid grasp of software development lifecycle and methodologies
• Expertise in software documentation and technical writing
• Validate project estimates and approaches for assigned work
• Serve as a role model for junior staff
