Full Stack Software Engineer I

The company for Business is a travel product designed for the needs of small and medium size enterprises. It lets companies book and manage business trips — stays, flights, and car rental — in one place. Our primary users are business owners, travel managers and business travellers who need a simple, policy compliant way to organise and manage their trips. We provide additional business oriented functionality on top of the core the company benefit offering – business travel focused search experience, 24/7 customer support, company level policy management, invoice retrieval, etc.
The product is built in partnership with Serko Ltd and the the company for Business acquisitions team is responsible for growing our business traveller customer base by simplifying registration experience, creating brand awareness through campaigns and experiments across the company.
Key specifics of our team- Focus on rapid experimentation and general agility in order to find and benefit from available opportunities.
- Large amount of R&D due to the wide scope that our team is covering.
- Large amount of integrations with a diverse array of services and components within and outside of the company.
Please note:
some travel required throughout the year.
- Rapidly implementing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems.
- Solving issues with the site and internal systems, prioritizing based on customer impact.
- Acting as an intermediary for problems, with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Testing; we run thousands of experiments at one time. We built one of the most advanced A/B testing platforms in the industry.
- Advocate a collaborative working environment – make "my ideas" into "our ideas".
- Identify, foster, and proactively help colleagues to grow professionally, taking a significant role in onboarding new team members.
- Contributing to the growth of the company through interviewing, onboarding, or other recruitment efforts.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development with any of the following server-side programming languages:
Java, Python, Perl and web technologies:
Node Js/React/Vue/jQuery/HTML/CSS. - Experience with MySQL or similar RDBMS.
- Experience of working on products that impact a large customer base is an advantage.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, team-player.
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken.
- Can do attitude and proactive behavior.
- Preferably a university degree in Software Engineering.
