We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Nordic eID team.

In this role, you will focus on building secure, scalable, and high‑quality software within digital identity solutions. You’ll work on complex backend systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape how we build and operate our services.

You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, platform teams, and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver reliable and performant solutions in a modern cloud environment.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
• Solve complex technical problems and contribute to system architecture and design decisions
• Build and integrate APIs (REST, SOAP, gRPC)
• Work with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform)
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes
• Contribute to observability, monitoring, and incident handling practices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure and scalable identity solutions
• Continuously improve code quality, performance, and system reliability

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong expertise in Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
• Solid experience working with cloud environments and Dev Ops practices (GCP, Terraform, CI/CD)
• Experience building and integrating APIs (REST, SOAP, or gRPC)
• Familiarity with observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in complex, distributed systems

• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD tools (e.g. Git Lab CI)
• Knowledge of identity and security protocols (OIDC, SAML, PKI)
• Understanding of browser technologies (cookies, CORS, iframes)
• Experience with continuous deployment practices
