Stellenbeschreibung
- As an Embedded Software Engineer here at Vay, you’ll work on the safety-critical software that directly controls vehicle functions: how a car accelerates, steers, brakes, monitors itself for faults, and reacts in emergencies in real time. Your code moves real physical systems on real roads
- This is safety-critical embedded development with genuine ownership for engineers early in their career, to learn fast, and have a real opportunity to see your work in production within weeks and months, not years
- Designing, implementing, and verifying embedded software for the safe remote operation of vehicles on public roads
- Analysing and validating system behaviour across software and hardware boundaries, and designing robust solutions
- Analysing fleet data and logs to validate behaviour and guide improvements
- Working hands-on with the hardware, including measurement equipment, schematics, and data sheets
- Driving improvements in our tools, automation, and workflows
- Working closely with hardware, motion-control, systems, testing operations, and other teams across the company to solve problems unique to remote driving
- We move fast and use AI as a genuine part of how we build day to day, not as a novelty, but as a way to raise the quality of our thinking, close gaps faster, and spend more time on the problems that actually matter. We value engineers who can direct these tools well and put the time they save into systems thinking, collaboration, and getting things right
- On the technical side:
Embedded C on microcontrollers, RTOS-based real-time systems, CAN/CAN FD, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and real-vehicle validation. Safety-oriented coding standards (ISO 26262, MISRA-C), Git, and Linux-based CI/CD
