Mobile & Backend Engineer (React Native)

Location: Berlin/Remote Germany

Salary: Up to 80,000 euros

Type: Full-time

This is a true full-stack product engineering role where you'll own features from the mobile app through to the backend services that power it.

Working within a small, high-performing Product & Tech team, you'll build customer-facing experiences, backend APIs, and internal tooling that directly impact thousands of users every day. With short decision-making cycles and plenty of autonomy, you'll see your work go from idea to production in days rather than months.

• Build and ship new features across a React Native mobile application
• Develop backend APIs using Node.js and Type Script
• Work on customer ordering, loyalty, rewards and payment experiences
• Build integrations with payment providers, POS systems and third-party services
• Develop internal tools that support day-to-day operations
• Improve application performance, reliability and observability
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Operations to deliver new features quickly

• 4 years' experience building production mobile applications
• Strong commercial experience with React Native (Expo desirable)
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js and Type Script
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Knowledge of MongoDB or other database technologies
• Experience shipping apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality

• Experience with Stripe or payment platforms
• Exposure to AWS cloud services
• Experience with POS or retail technology integrations
• German language skills
