AMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool that helps physicians acquire and apply scientific knowledge. Its Educator Tool enables educational clinics and medical schools to use medical resources effectively when teaching residents and students.

• Contribute to engineering projects for the B2B Educator Tool from conception to completion;
• Apply and improve best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability;
• Use AI and agentic tools such as Claude Code across exploration, implementation, testing, and code review;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine project requirements and specifications;
• Address ad-hoc requests from customer support channels;
• Share knowledge within the AMBOSS community and contribute to continuous learning and growth.

• Solid hands-on experience with PHP, at least one modern framework such as Symfony, Slim, or Laravel, and MySQL;
• Solid experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar, and exposure to agentic engineering workflows;
• Experience across the web development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance;
• Experience building and integrating GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs;
• Experience with relational database design;
• Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean code, and common design patterns;
• Proficient with Git, including branching, merging, and code review processes;
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders;
• Curious, proactive, solution-oriented, and interested in optimizing processes and learning the domain;
• Ownership mindset and drive to see topics through;
• Nice to have:
  Exposure to requirements analysis and system design.
