Senior React Native Engineer

Zalando is Europe’s leading online fashion and lifestyle platform, serving millions of customers across 25+ countries. Our mobile ecosystem sits at the core of this vision, enabling seamless, high-performance shopping experiences  part of the Client Engineering team, you will help shape the mobile foundation that powers our consumer-facing apps.

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will work on high-impact features across both iOS and Android platforms. You will contribute to the architecture, performance, and overall quality of the Zalando app experience. Your work will directly influence how customers browse, discover, and purchase fashion across Europe.

• Strong experience developing mobile applications with React Native in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of at least one native ecosystem — iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java) — and comfort with native modules when needed.
• A strong focus on performance, maintainability, and long-term code quality.
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-platform applications.
• The ability to translate complex requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional product teams.

• Experienced in shipping high-quality cross-platform code to production.
• Possesses e-commerce industry experience with insights into its unique challenges and opportunities.
• Possesses understanding of Android SDK, iOS SDK and App Architecture principles to build robust and performant applications.
• Some expertise in iOS development with Swift, Android development with Kotlin, including reactive programming (RxJava/Coroutines) and functional programming principles.
