As (Senior) Commercial Manager (f/m/d), you drive commercial governance across selected KoRo categories to balance product deliciousness with scalable profitability and on-time delivery. You provide clear financial guidance and establish cross-functional decision gates to ensure both new and existing food products achieve sustainable business growth across all channels. In this role, you bridge the gap between creative product development and commercial success, shaping a high-performing, lean food portfolio.
What you will do:Commercial Governance: You drive commercial governance across selected product categories to balance product quality with scalable profitability and on-time delivery through clear financial guidance and decision gates.
Innovation & Funnel Governance: You lead the innovation funnel and commercial charter by consolidating market narratives, setting COGS and volume targets, and establishing approved business KPI hurdles.
End-to-End Portfolio Management: You own the end-to-end Product Lifecycle (PLC) assessment process to continuously optimize the portfolio, ensuring customer relevance and financial viability while keeping it lean.
Commercial Process Optimization: You spearhead commercial process improvements, maintaining documentation transparency and guaranteeing on-time execution across all cross-functional gate transitions.
Strategic Alignment &
Collaboration:
You align cross-functional stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to build operational consensus and independently resolve complex commercial bottlenecks.
Education & Experience: Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting, category management, sales, or product commercialization
Industry & Commercial Savvy: Strong understanding of food industry supply chains, commercial structures, category management, and demand planning processes
Analytical & Project Management
Skills:
Proven experience analyzing market data, creating financial models for new products (NPDs), and managing cross-functional projectsMindset &
Soft Skills:
Strong ownership and end-to-end mindset, hands‑on execution focus, analytical problem‑solving abilities, and excellent stakeholder communication skillsTech Stack: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides), AI tools (Gemini / Claude), and BI tools like Tableau (Nielsen data knowledge is a plus)
Languages: Fluent in English;
German language skills are a plusLocation: Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
