As part of the DFG-fundes research projekt "Bikont Confine" the Faculty of Chemistry has the following job opening:
Research Position (m/f/d)
- starting: 01.01.2027
- part-time 67 %
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
- fixed-term
The project involves investigating the phase behaviour of ternary and qua ternary mixtures under the influence of nano-confinement in porous materials. There is an opportunity to pursue a PhD.
Your Tasks- investigation of microemulsions in confined geometries using scattering methods, such as SAXS and SANS (80 %)
- maintenance of the relevant equipment, in particular the small-angle X-ray scattering setup (20 %)
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
- fixed-term (limited until 31.12.2030) (§ 2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases)

- basic knowledge of small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS)
- basic knowledge of recording phase diagrams of surfactant/water/oil mixtures or similar systems
- working independently, taking initiative, and demonstrating commitment
- a cooperative and team-oriented approach to work
- a good command of English
- willingness to take part in experiments at major research facilities (worldwide)
