Are you motivated to actively shape and lead innovation in the exciting field of embedded software development? We are looking for a dedicated and qualified individual to strengthen our team and play a key role in the implementation of our Wireless Charging and Wireless Connectivity projects.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be a key member of our Wireless Charging Team, driving product development and ensuring the successful launch of our products in global markets. Your responsibilities will include software‑engineering tasks throughout the entire product lifecycle process – e.g. planning, design, implementation, bug fixing, software module testing, documentation and progress reporting.

You will join a highly skilled local engineering team based in Bochum, consisting of a small group of experienced technology experts. Within this setup, you will work in a compact and highly collaborative environment with short reporting lines, enabling fast decision‑making, direct communication, and a high level of personal ownership.

At the same time, you will be part of a global engineering organization with more than 200 colleagues across Europe, North America, and Asia. This international setup gives you the opportunity to contribute beyond your local scope and play a role in projects with global reach.

In your day‑to‑day work, you will closely interact with cross‑functional teams at our global sites – in particular System Architects, Electronic Developers, and System Testers – ensuring strong alignment across disciplines throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Perform software‑engineering tasks throughout the entire product lifecycle process (planning, design, implementation, bug fixing, software module testing, documentation and progress reporting)
• Software development in embedded C and Python languages
• HW/SW debugging
• Preparing and participation in Automotive SPICE assessments
• Acting as an interface to internal and external testing laboratories and service providers on Qi Compliance
• Monitoring new developments and trends in international standards and regulations

• MSc in electrical engineering, information science or equivalent
• Strong knowledge in embedded programming, systematic debugging methodology and tools and software development processes
• Expert level knowledge of embedded C programming & Python
• Experience in software development in a similar environment
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Great team player with the ability of operating internationally across different cultures and countries
• Curious engineer who actively keeps up with industry trends, engages in professional communities, and fosters a strong knowledge‑sharing mindset

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any related field will be highly valued
