About the job

As Group financial Controller – Team Lead, you will be responsible for professionalising and managing finance related topics and actions across our international operations. You will ensure accurate administration, support business integration and drive improvements in ERP systems and financial processes. In a hands-on role, you will work directly with management to optimise performance, margins and reporting. You will lead a small finance team, report directly to the CFO and serve as a member of the management team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach the international finance team (5 FTE), ensuring smooth administration and financial control for 10 international entities.
  • Manage financial consolidation processes, including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and accurate financial statements.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital across all entities.
  • Set up and maintain transfer pricing structures and manage cost centers and P&L responsibilities.
  • Oversee software implementation projects and process optimisations.
  • Manage financial matters related to acquisitions and integration projects, ensuring smooth transition and consolidation.
  • Provide financial advice to operational managers and executive leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Monitor profitability, gross margins and cost structures, implementing measures to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements in all countries of operation.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors across international branches.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, internal controls and reporting, leveraging business intelligence tools and data analytics.

Requirements / You are
  • At least a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or Controlling.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a finance leadership role within an international trading or commercial organisation.
  • Extensive experience with administration of multiple entities, consolidation and complex reporting.
  • Proven experience with ERP implementation, integration projects and acquisition-related finance issues.
  • Strong knowledge of gross margin management, profitability analysis and cost control.
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch; fluency in German is a plus.
  • Hands-on mentality and proactive approach, able to support operational finance tasks if needed.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience coaching and motivating a team to achieve KPIs.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and experience with reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power

    BI).

  • You are open to frequent travel to our office in Germany, near Bonn.
