System Engineer

This is an opportunity to join a growing Datacenter operator's IT team, keeping Windows infrastructure and core enterprise services stable, secure and highly available for business-critical operations. You'll administer server, client and cloud systems, with real scope to drive automation, modernisation projects and technical improvements rather than just keeping the lights on.

• Operate and administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and other business-critical systems, ensuring stability, security and high availability
• Carry out monitoring, fault diagnosis, patch management and maintenance to maintain service availability
• Handle complex 2nd and 3rd level support requests, resolving technical issues sustainably
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation to improve efficiency, quality and standardisation
• Plan and support infrastructure, migration and modernisation projects with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, operating instructions and system documentation
• Identify and implement improvements across Windows, Microsoft and cloud technologies

• Hands-on experience administering Windows Server 2019, 2022 and later
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
• Good virtualization knowledge, ideally with Hyper-V and S2D clusters
• Self-starter with creativity and a genuine passion for high-availability systems
• Fluent German (written and spoken); good technical English
• Willingness to join on-call rotation after full onboarding
