As a Mechanical Lead, it is your responsibility to ensure the timely, high‑quality and cost‑efficient execution of all assembly and handling activities in the factory, environmental test facilities and at the launch pad, in compliance with occupational safety regulations, technical specifications and customer requirements.

• Organization and Control of Mechanical
  
  Activities:
  
  Planning, organizing and monitoring all assembly and handling activities;
  Workforce planning for assemblers, foremen and subcontractors.
• Technical Responsibility: Implementation of drawings, bills of materials and technical specifications;
  Clarification of technical details with design, project management and customers;
  Contribution to assembly concepts and processes.
• Leadership and Personnel: Technical leadership of a work preparation team and an assembly team within a satellite project;
  Instruction and onboarding of new employees and external contractors;
  Motivation, guidance and performance evaluation of employees.
• Project and Cost Control: Monitoring schedules, assembly progress and costs;
  Reporting deviations, risks and additional costs to project management;
  Participation in change requests and technical modifications.

• Completed degree in engineering.
• Completed technical vocational training (e.g. mechatronics technician, industrial mechanic) (advantageous).
• Several years of experience in industrial assembly.
• Experience in leading assembly teams.
• Confident reading of technical drawings and assembly plans.
• Basic knowledge of project management, knowledge of common occupational safety and quality standards.
• Leadership skills and assertiveness.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Resilience and problem‑solving ability.
• Willingness to travel and work on assembly sites (depending on company).
