Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and other related equipment.
• Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Resolve complex network issues involving various factors.
• Conduct regular network security assessments and implement security protocols.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technology and systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of network disaster recovery plans.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and less experienced team members.
• Stay current with new networking technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and others.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with access control models and network security.
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Professional certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in German being advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours support and occasional travel.
