Senior Accountant

Job Purpose / Overview

The Senior Accountant role is responsible for finance operations in Switzerland, covering general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets, under statutory and US GAAP. The role will prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure they accurately reflect the company’s financial position and will report directly to the Finance Operations Director – Central Europe.

• Maintain financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Process incoming and outgoing payments and perform bank reconciliations.
• Record closing entries and documentation in accordance with internal control guidelines.
• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and capturing required information.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and group reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in compliance with statutory and US GAAP requirements.
• Enter periodic reporting in One Stream.
• Manage balance‑sheet accounts, receivables, and payables, as well as fixed‑asset and lease accounting.
• Collaborate with external and internal auditors.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Manage ad hoc projects such as system migrations and the implementation of new processes.

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience preparing financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and US GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax law.
• Fluency in English and French, written and spoken.

• Organized with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with data entry processing within web‑based ERP systems (Sage) and online banking.
• Ability to handle numerous order entry steps with accuracy while paying close attention to details.
• Proven ability to follow through and resolve issues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑oriented philosophy and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule according to activity and volume.
