ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Enabler for smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips Work where tomorrow is created. What is absolutely essential in every smartphone? Exactly - the microchip, the heart of every electronically controlled system. Around 80 %80 % of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With highly precise lithography optics, photomask systems and solutions for process control, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips - and thus, with its innovations, plays a decisive role in shaping the era of micro- and nanoelectronics.
About usIn the area of Operational Excellence, you actively shape the factory of the future and make a direct contribution to the manufacturing of our high-precision lithography optics and other key components used in the production of cutting-edge microchips. As a cross-functional team, we unlock the full potential of our manufacturing together with the production units, develop lean standards and smart methods, and bring them directly to the shopfloor.
With innovative digitalization and automation solutions, we continue to shape our smart factory and ensure a consistently optimized value chain across all stages of production.
You initiate, manage and take responsibility for cross-functional optimization and transformation projects in Operations. You analyze complex production and business processes with a high degree of technological novelty and actively drive the further development of our smart factory. You independently conduct experiments directly on the shopfloor, promote data-driven decision-making and consistently challenge the status quo. You coach leaders and teams, foster a sustainable culture of continuous improvement and ensure strategic reporting for the Senior Management in Operations.
You work closely at the interface between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and the Business Fields to effectively integrate process and technology improvements. You are systematically prepared for a future leadership or management role and develop the necessary competencies along the way.
Successfully completed degree in production engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study; ideally you also hold a PhD. At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, with a proven track record in efficiency and change management projects. Passion for change, enjoyment in challenging the status quo and a strong drive to shape and improve structures. High level of autonomy, commitment, flexibility and sense of responsibility, combined with a goal-oriented and efficient way of working.
Solid knowledge of different production processes as well as deep methodological and technical expertise (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, ERP, MES, Industrie 4.0). Business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
