Teamlead Production; m​/f​/d; UGV

As a Teamlead Production - UGV, you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of your shift team within our unmanned ground systems (UGV) production facility in Göppingen. You will ensure that production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are consistently met, directly supporting the transition from prototype manufacturing to a robust, repeatable, and scalable serial production environment.

You will lead your team hands‑on on the shop floor while working closely with Production Planning, Industrialization, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics. In this role, you will ensure strict adherence to approved work and inspection instructions and actively contribute shop floor feedback to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead and manage the production team on your shift, including workforce planning and skills management.

• Ensure the achievement of shift targets related to production rate, quality, safety, and delivery performance.

• Assign and prioritize work orders according to the production plan and current capacity.

• Monitor compliance with work instructions (WI) and quality inspection instructions (QI), ensuring complete digital documentation in Operations

• Serve as the first escalation point for deviations, disruptions, and quality issues, initiating immediate corrective actions when necessary.

• Conduct shift handovers and shop floor meetings, communicating relevant KPIs and operational updates to the team.

• Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Industrialization, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth operational processes.

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives related to processes, cycle times, and workstation design.

• Support the onboarding of new employees and ensure all required training and certifications are completed.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant ESD, high‑voltage (HV), lifting/crane, battery handling, and site‑specific regulations.

• Completed technical vocational training (for example, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems), ideally complemented by further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician, or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally including initial experience in a leadership or coordination role.

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to drive execution in a shift‑based production environment.

• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and shop floor management methods (e.g., 5S, Continuous Improvement Process (CIP/KVP), Andon).

• Strong quality mindset and the willingness to stop production and escalate issues when standards are not met, rather than bypassing established processes.

• Structured, solution‑oriented, and resilient working style, even under time pressure.

• Good German language skills;
