YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your mission:
As Team Lead for Equipment & Tooling, you’ll be responsible for leading a growing team at the intersection of mechanical design and automation. From forming tools to machining fixtures and flowforming systems – you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of our manufacturing equipment. You coordinate cross-functional interfaces, structure project plans, and make sure we build tools that power high-tech production at scale.
- Lead & empower your team: You take on disciplinary and technical leadership of a team of design and automation engineers – providing clarity, direction, and hands‑on support.
- Own the fixture roadmap: You plan and prioritize all equipment projects – from early needs assessment to delivery – aligning closely with manufacturing milestones and capacity planning.
- Bridge automation and mechanical design: You connect both worlds and ensure projects reflect the full system perspective.
- Create feedback loops from production: You build structured channels to gather feedback from manufacturing teams and drive continuous improvement for all tools in use.
- Ensure documentation & maintainability: You take responsibility for complete technical documentation, including maintenance plans and user manuals (in collaboration with automation engineers).
- Drive CE-readiness: You understand risk assessments, the Machinery Directive, and the documentation needed for CE certification.
Technical background: You’ve trained or studied in mechanical engineering, special machinery, automation, or a related field.
Relevant experience: 4–5+ years of experience in tooling, equipment or production line development – ideally as a team lead, project manager, or senior design engineer in special machinery or manufacturing plant engineering.
Leadership ambition: You’ve led a team or driven complex projects – and are ready to take full ownership of a team and area.
System‑level understanding: You bring solid knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems – ideally with experience in robotic systems.
Drawing literacy: You can read, review, and guide technical drawings confidently.
Hands‑on & challenger mindset: You’re passionate about building and improving – and excited by high‑tech processes like composite winding, pressing, laminating, or flowforming.
- Creative freedom & responsibility: Autonomy, scope for decision‑making and short implementation paths.
- Flexible working hours & remote option: You can work remotely by arrangement.
- Culinary variety: Lunch together with fresh, varied dishes every day.
- Attractive additional benefits: Choose between Deutschlandticket, EGYM‑Wellpass or a monthly top‑up payment card (Givve Card).
- Knowledge exchange at the highest level: Work with experienced engineers and experts from the aerospace industry.
- Dynamic environment: Exciting projects, development opportunities and a start‑up atmosphere with agile, cross‑functional collaboration.
- Community & team spirit: Monthly blackout events for socialising, networking and exchange.
- Unique working atmosphere: Enjoy the end of the working day on our large roof terrace with a view of the Alps!
