For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH to join our team as System Safety Engineer (f/m/d)
This position is subject to international regulations on military and aerospace projects, which require specific legal and security authorizations.
The main tasks and responsibilities:
- Safety Assessments: Conduct core safety activities, including Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) and System Safety Assessments (SSA) supporting certification phases.
- Risk Analyses: Perform risk evaluations according to military standards to support continuous development (Permit to Fly / Type Certificate).
- Common-Cause Analyses: Lead Particular Risk Analyses (PRA), Zonal Safety Analyses (ZSA), and Common Mode Analyses (CMA).
- Requirements & Evidence: Manage safety requirements, generate safety evidence (tests, simulations, analyses), and define safety procedures/limitations.
- Architecture Influence: Heavily influence aircraft and system architecture development based on safety and integrity targets.
- Stakeholder Interface: Act as the technical point of contact for Chief Engineering, Design Teams, Airworthiness Authorities, suppliers, and customers.
- Supplier Management: Review, approve, and integrate supplier safety and reliability data.
Requirements:
- Degree:
Master’s Degree (or German Diplom) in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a similar technical discipline. - Systems Engineering:
At least 2 years of experience in System Engineering with direct interfaces to Safety Assessment, Airworthiness, or Certification. - Aircraft Systems:
Deep knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems is mandatory. - Direct experience with System Safety Assessments (SSA) is a strong advantage.
- Safety Software:
Required experience with safety tools (e.g., Isograph Fault Tree+, Reliability Workbench). - Specialist/advanced knowledge of MS Office.
- Languages:
Negotiation-level English is mandatory. German language knowledge is a plus. - Ability to obtain a security clearance for NATO projects is required.
