Thermal Engineer; m​/f​/d

For our renowned customer in the aerospace industry we are looking for a "Thermal Engineer" (m/f/d) in temporary employment as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

• Support the thermal run-away design of the battery modules using calculation methods ranging from 1st order principles, e.g., Excel, to complex 3D CFD simulations
• Support the design process for the thermal management of the battery modules using calculation methods ranging from 1st order principles to complex 3D CFD simulations
• Work closely with system engineering to establish and run an efficient simulation-driven design and optimization process
• Provide detailed reports for certification purposes
• Actively support shaping processes in the department
• Work on ad hoc related tasks or projects provided by management

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• More than 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Experience working on battery pack design and simulation, including thermal run-away is beneficial
• Excellent skills in state of the art CFD and heat transfer modelling
• Experience with thermal networks and reduced-order modeling
• Experience with system modeling and mechanical design processes would be a plus
• Experience in working with StarCCM+ and Python or Matlab
• Experience in working with Amesim or Simscape would be a plus
• Very good knowledge of English
