• You will design and develop equipment, fixtures, machines, and systems for our manufacturing operations, taking into account functionality, cost-effectiveness, quality, and workplace safety.
• You will create technical concepts, 3D CAD models, assemblies, individual parts, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for both new and existing equipment.
• You will select mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation components and design them in accordance with technical requirements.
• You will oversee projects from requirements gathering through design and procurement to assembly, testing, commissioning, and handover to production.
• You coordinate technical solutions with Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Assembly, as well as with external suppliers and service providers.
• You assess technical feasibility and take manufacturing, assembly, testing, maintenance, and safety requirements into account as early as the design phase.
• You analyze technical problems and optimize existing machines, systems, and equipment in terms of process reliability, quality, ergonomics, cycle time, ease of maintenance, standardization, and costs.
• You create and maintain technical documentation such as design drawings, functional specifications, bills of materials, change logs, and approval documents.
• You support experiments, prototype builds, and functional tests, and implement necessary technical adjustments.

• You communicate confidently with internal and external contacts and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You handle technical requirements and documentation responsibly.

• You have technical training or further education in the fields of design, mechanical engineering, automation technology, or equipment engineering.
• You have several years of experience in the independent development and design of equipment, machines, and automation solutions.
• You have experience implementing automation projects.
• You have strong CAD skills, ideally in Solid Edge or a comparable system.
• You have a good understanding of technical drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes, as well as experience with bills of materials and technical documentation.
• You are familiar with the requirements for safety-related and regulatory issues in the machinery sector.
• You have good written and spoken German skills.
