Multi-Sensor Navigation R&D Engineer (m/f/d) Ready to advance real-time Aided Inertial Navigation Systems (AINS) technology and elevate global positioning? Trimble is looking for an ambitious Multi-Sensor Navigation R&D Engineer to integrate cutting-edge sensor technology into our ProPoint engine. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing advanced multi-sensor integration, directly influencing positioning accuracy and reliability and shaping the future of autonomous navigation technology.
Required Skills:
- Develop and enhance AINS technology, tightly integrated with precise GNSS, to elevate positioning accuracy and reliability.
- Implement, test, and verify complex real-time algorithms utilizing C++.
- Analyze, visualize, and develop algorithms using Matlab and Python to solve technical challenges.
- Support existing products and next-generation solutions by monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document innovations, support intellectual property efforts, and develop research prototypes.
- Master's degree in Navigation, Aerospace, Robotics, Geodesy, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in C++ programming and software development, alongside experience with Matlab or Python.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss complex technical topics fluently in English.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced development team under minimal supervision.
- Background in inertial sensing, sensor fusion, precise GNSS, real-time algorithms, or embedded systems.
- Experience with quality assurance, navigation system field applications, or Jira.
