Director, Supply Chain & Logistics (m/f/d)

UPM Next Generation Renewables – Locations:
Leuna, Germany or Helsinki, Finland

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations and indirect sourcing to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
• Drive strategic planning and decision-making to develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Partner with senior leaders to align inbound and outbound supply, logistics, and planning with business strategy, market needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion the S&OP (sales and operations planning) process to align production, procurement, and logistics schedules to optimize margins and working capital.
• Lead logistics network across relevant geographies (EMEA, NORAM, APAC) to deliver products to customers and feed stocks to plants on time, in full, in a fuels and chemicals environment.
• Develop the supply chain and sourcing organization, capabilities, and people.
• Optimize inventory and working capital to support business performance targets.

• Extensive leadership experience in supply chain management in an international environment.
• Proven expertise in delivering end-to-end, market-driven supply chain performance.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
• Data‑driven problem solver with a continuous improvement/lean mindset.
• Experience across operations, logistics, sourcing, and/or integrated supply chain.
• University degree, 10+ years of relevant experience, fluency in English and possibly German or Finnish or another language.
