Senior Program Buyer

• Central point of contact for all purchasing-related activities during the development and pre-series phases
• Identification and management of purchasing requirements in the project phases in collaboration with project teams and commodity buyers
• Management of project-related schedules, costs and milestones with Commodity Purchasing, Program Team, SQA and Group Purchasing
• Issuing RFQs and supporting sourcing decisions
• Independent supplier documentation as well as negotiation and conclusion of contracts taking customer-specific requirements into account
• Collaboration with program teams in acquiring new projects: requirements analysis, specification of the scope of requests, supplier inquiries, offer comparisons and negotiations
• Maintenance and approval of purchasing-relevant data in the Quote Management System
• Support for ECR and change management processes
• Creation and maintenance of project reporting throughout the project phases
• Support and execution of special purchasing projects, including digitization and AI projects

• Completed degree in business administration or engineering, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Several years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally 3–5 years in the automotive industry or a commodity-related environment
• Solid understanding of purchasing processes, purchasing tools, project workflows as well as cost and controlling interrelationships
• Experience in supplier management and negotiation
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Confident use of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge of customer-specific requirements, IATF 16949 / ISO 9001, ISO 14001, occupational health and safety and TISAX is an advantage
• Structured, solution-oriented working style, strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in international project teams

Demonstrates expertise in purchasing and procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation within the automotive industry. Proficient in project management, data maintenance, and reporting, with strong communication skills in both German and English.
