We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our Functional Safety Management department.

• Leadership:
  Strategic, cross-location management of the Functional Safety Management department and establishment, promotion, and further development of team leaders and functional safety managers (m/f/d) at all relevant locations
• Functional Safety Management:
  Responsibility for implementing functional safety requirements for safety life cycles and standards, as well as ensuring delivery excellence in functional safety management through structured planning, resource and risk management, and process optimization
• Strategy & Innovation:
  Development and implementation of a safety strategy for the department, ensuring safety-related support for innovative solutions and safety concepts for the technologies and products of tomorrow
• Partners & Stakeholders:
  Maintaining strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships, professional communication at all management levels up to executive level
• Organizational Development:
  Establishing efficient cross-location structures, promoting leadership excellence, and continuously improving the department
• Skill Building:
  Building and developing the skills of cross-location teams to ensure future products and innovations

What We Are Looking For

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, (engineering) computer science, mechatronics, physics, automotive engineering, or another STEM or comparable field
• Several years of disciplinary management experience with proven success
• Experience in functional safety and in the defense, automotive, aviation, railway, or comparable industries
• Very good knowledge of IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 and common development processes and methods, especially with regard to the integration of functional safety
• Confident manner and strong leadership skills
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to travel
