Stellenbeschreibung
Location: Bad Urach

As a Product Line Manager (m/f/d) at Nova, you are responsible for the strategic and operational success of your product line across the entire lifecycle.

You drive product development, manage milestones and costs, and ensure timely delivery of prototypes and production-ready solutions in close collaboration with Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Marketing.

With a strong understanding of customer requirements and semiconductor market dynamics, you ensure manufacturability, cost optimisation, and the long-term competitiveness of the product line.

Responsibilities
  • Program & milestone management: Define and execute cross‑functional development plans, secure resource commitments, and ensure on‑time delivery of development milestones from Gate 3 to Gate 4.5 as Core Manager, including prototype builds and workstation readiness for validation and customer qualification.
  • Cost & financial control: Own project and product cost tracking, including development budgets, BOM, and COGS, ensuring cost transparency and alignment with margin targets in a high-volume, cost‑sensitive semiconductor environment.
  • Requirements & specification ownership: Lead the transformation of marketing, customer, and Advanced Technology inputs into a clear and aligned requirements specification; reconcile requirements with stakeholders and ensure strict compliance throughout development and industrialisation.
  • Product line continuity & technology alignment: Act as PLM Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) Manager to ensure long‑term product viability through technology roadmap alignment, lifecycle management, and continuous optimisation of cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Manufacturability & operational excellence: Drive Design‑for‑Manufacturing and Design‑for‑Assembly initiatives, improve yield and manufacturability, reduce product line complexity and variance, and support efficient ramp‑up in collaboration with Operations, Supplier Management, and Engineering.
Ideal Candidate

A dreamer and brilliant high aimer who sees the impossible as the starting point and loves working in a multidisciplinary global team to create innovative breakthroughs.

Requirements
  • Education: Completed technical or scientific master’s degree (or higher), e.g. in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable discipline.
  • Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the semiconductor industry or a closely related high‑tech manufacturing environment.
  • Project management expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience in project and program management within complex, cross‑functional development organisations.
  • Language skills: Business‑fluent German and English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Technical & tool competence: Solid understanding of the manufacturing and maintenance of semiconductor equipment, combined with advanced MS Office knowledge—especially MS Project—and experience with tools such as JIRA.
  • We offer you financial security with a market‑competitive salary that is reviewed annually. In addition, you benefit from numerous perks that complete your overall package.
  • Every month, you receive €100 tax‑free that you can use flexibly through our benefits platform.
  • We provide a hybrid work model with flexible hours and the option to work remotely from any EU country for up to 20 days per year.
  • Innovation, creativity and personal responsibility are not just buzzwords for us—they are part of everyday life.
  • Your health comes first, with ergonomic workstations, subsidies for computer glasses and participation in the Job Rad bike‑leasing program.
  • Receive up to €110 per month in childcare support for preschool‑aged children.
  • Enjoy free daily breakfast, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and water, as well as subsidized lunch.
  • You can also look forward to additional gifts to celebrate your birthday and other special occasions.
  • Experience a warm, family‑like work environment with regular team events that are not only fun, but also strengthen our bond.
  • Make use of our in‑house learning platform and tailored training programs to support both your professional and personal development.
