The Role & What You Will Be DoingEvery day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Head of Marketing Germany (m / w / d) role will make an impact :
- Lead the marketing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, challenging status quo and high performance.
- Develop, implement marketing strategy for Viatris field force promoted brands in Germany to further advance the business and provide marketing guidance for other Viatris Business areas too.
- Prepare and drive the successful launch of innovative patented Rx products, including pre‑marketing period, defining specific timelines, resources, budgets and stakeholder responsibilities in close collaboration with other functions e.g. Medical, Market Access, Operations, etc. and in alignment with Brand guidelines.
- Coach and manage team members, building their capabilities and facilitate a way of working fitting the innovation model and spread them among the organization.
- Overall forecast and budget responsibility for respective brands, requiring close collaboration with and driving sales teams and operations.
- Assess and analyze brand, market and competitors through gathering customer insights and competitive information; identifying drivers and refining segmentation according to customer needs.
- Drive digital and omnichannel transformation.
- Work directly with the BU Heads, other functions, regional and global colleagues in order to ensure a well‑aligned marketing development strategy for the German market.
- Manage external and internal partners for marketing activities on the assigned products (agency, consultants, internal centers of excellence, etc.) to comply with deadlines and ensure best results on the assigned projects.
- Ensure adherence with compliance policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences :
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences preferred.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of marketing experience in the innovative pharmaceutical / biotech industry, with at least five years in a leadership role.
- Proven track‑record in launching innovative patented Rx products, leading cross‑functional teams at country level and representing the country in global cross‑functional teams.
- Good / practical knowledge / work experience of the German pharmaceutical market.
- Proven sales representative experiences.
- Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, able to articulate a focused and business‑oriented marketing strategy.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, omnichannel engagement, and data‑driven decision‑making, including the use of AI tools.
- Profound business knowledge and ability to analyze key business performance indicators.
