HR Manager – Warehouse Operations (Germany)
Maersk, a global leader in integrated logistics, is seeking an HR Manager to support our Warehouse businesses in Germany. The role focuses on launching and setting up a new site for success, with a heavy emphasis on partnering with leadership and facilitating people processes in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with warehouse leadership to implement the People Strategy and deliver the service delivery model.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, serving as main point of contact and sparring partner on all people matters.
- Drive the local delivery of the annual HR cycle, including performance management, compensation, succession planning and development.
- Own and manage employee relations issues, advise leaders on HR policies, and ensure compliance with local employment law.
- Act as talent broker, encouraging mobility and developmental transfers within the organization.
- Analyze real‑time HR data to identify opportunities for improvement and report findings to leadership.
- Deliver trainings and workshops for local leadership teams and employee populations on various HR topics.
- Participate in on‑site recruitment, onboarding, and coordinate employee activities such as training sessions.
- Support the transition from implementation to steady state functions from 2026, including change management and continuous improvement.
- Solid experience as an HR generalist with deep understanding of HR fundamentals (recruitment, performance management, engagement, compensation, development, employee relations).
- Advanced knowledge of local labour law and experience working in unionised, regulated environments.
- Proven experience in high‑paced companies, preferably warehouse, logistics or services industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Excellent coaching, facilitation, change‑management and project‑management skills.
- Proactive, self‑driven, resilient, with a “can‑do” mindset and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (must have) and English.
- Experience as a trusted advisor, taking ownership of projects and driving high‑engagement outcomes.
Position requires onsite presence in Germany, 5 days per week.
