About the Role

Our People Function works across brands, countries, and cultures for a global Maersk. As an HR Advisor on the Frontline People Team, you will support our warehouse in Philippsburg and play a crucial role in our success: ensuring that employees receive fast and professional support for their HR-related matters so they can focus fully on their work. Whether it’s a simple question or a more complex issue, you will be a trusted point of contact and help ensure that every interaction with HR is a positive experience.

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our on-site team in Philippsburg and provide professional support to our warehouse team.

Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of inquiries regarding HR policies and processes by understanding needs, evaluating options, developing solutions, and collaborating with HR colleagues when necessary.
• Work closely with warehouse managers, particularly on absence management and disciplinary matters.
• Support managers in developing and implementing an employee engagement plan for the site.
• Actively use Workday (our HR system) and maintain case trackers, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Assist with questions related to benefits, policies, and processes, including research, problem-solving, and coordination with the HR team.
• Train and guide employees and managers on HR systems and the HR service model.
• Support the full HR lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, internal transfers, offboarding, and more.
• Implement a comprehensive communication plan to ensure all employees receive important site and company information (e.g., through notice boards, digital screens, and shift briefings).
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and up-to-date maintenance of HR-related documentation, including personnel files, HR policies, compliance records, compensation, and benefits documentation.

What You Bring

• Knowledge of German labor law and a solid understanding of HR fundamentals, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience handling employee relations matters.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.
• Experience with Workday or another HR information system (HRIS) is a plus.
