A Day in the Life

• Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice to the local sales organization across commercial, regulatory and compliance matters
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g. distribution, service, capital equipment, pricing and tender contracts)
• Ensure alignment with applicable healthcare compliance standards, including anti-corruption laws, competition law and industry codes (e.g. Med Tech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice – MTE Code)
• Support public procurement activities, including tender reviews, bid strategy input and contract risk assessment
• Advise on marketing, promotional and medical education activities in compliance with applicable legal frameworks (e.g. Heilmittelwerbegesetz – HWG)
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams to ensure consistent implementation of policies and risk mitigation strategies
• Deliver legal trainings and enable business stakeholders to operate within a defined compliance framework while supporting commercial objectives

• Fully qualified lawyer with solid experience in commercial and regulatory law, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector
• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks, including anti-corruption, competition law and data protection (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR)
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment
• Ability to translate legal risks into clear, pragmatic and actionable guidance for business stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels

Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Pay range:
Germany: 78,400.00 EUR –  EUR. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
