Position
We are seeking a self‑motivated, energetic Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join the Cell and Biomolecular Analysis Division, where we develop best‑in‑class automated electrophoresis instruments and reagent product lines.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated software tests, including test plans and test cases, to ensure Agilent products meet quality objectives, customer requirements, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Use test tools and frameworks based on functional and design specifications, and measure, track, and report test coverage across relevant dimensions.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done, ensuring testability, consistency, and completeness.
- Analyze test results, assess and communicate risk during execution, and document outcomes, defects, and deviations to support follow‑up actions and product improvements.
- Review and approve peer test results where applicable, and complete assignments with clearly defined objectives while maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent university degree, typically with 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, with proficiency in Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bit Bucket for requirements management, collaboration, and test coverage tracking.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory analytical instrumentation is highly desirable; experience with test automation frameworks and/or software programming is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in diverse international teams.
- Excellent English communication skills;
German language proficiency is an advantage.
Full‑time position with competitive salary and bonus eligibility, plus participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. This job has a full‑time weekly schedule.
