Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space seeks a Software Developer Simulation (d/f/m) to develop and maintain high‑fidelity aircraft simulations, primarily using C++, with additional opportunities to work with Python or Ada.

Manching, approximately one hour north of Munich, offering rural quality of life with easy access to nearby cities.

• Design the architecture of software models and components for new simulator functionality.
• Develop simulation models (C++) representing aircraft equipment and sub‑systems.
• Write and execute unit tests for simulation models and modules (C++ / Python).
• Create tools to improve development processes (e.g., code generators).
• Perform integration and acceptance testing.

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software architecture, design, and development.
• Excellent C++ skills; experience with additional languages/frameworks (Qt / QML, Ada, Python) is welcome.
• Working knowledge of English at a negotiation level.
• Experience with Tornado or Eurofighter Avionics is beneficial.
