Embedded Software Engineer - Python & Embedded C - €85,000

A growing international IoT company is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of the software behind the automated production test systems used for its industry-leading smart water monitoring devices.

This is a unique hybrid role within the firmware team, combining Python software development, embedded systems and automated test engineering
. You’ll build and improve the software that tests every IoT device before it is shipped to customers worldwide, working at the intersection of software, hardware and manufacturing.

• Own a production-critical system used to test every IoT device before it leaves the factory.
• Work directly with the end users of your software, receiving immediate feedback and seeing the impact of your work every day.
• Combine Python, embedded C, hardware integration and automated testing in one highly varied role.
• Collaborate closely with embedded firmware specialists while working alongside hardware engineers and production teams.
• High levels of autonomy, short decision-making paths and real technical ownership.

• Developing and maintaining Python applications that automate and control production testing.
• Developing and maintaining embedded software used within automated production test systems.
• Integrating software with hardware, measurement equipment and production fixtures.
• Working closely with production teams and hardware engineers to improve testing processes, reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
• Taking ownership of software that is used every day by the production team, continuously improving the tools and processes behind product testing.

• Strong Python development skills together with embedded C experience.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems or hardware-related applications.
• Experience with software testing, automation or hardware validation would be highly advantageous.
• Someone who enjoys solving practical engineering problems alongside hardware developers and production teams.
