Within our International Trade Management team, we are looking for an
ITM CUSTOMS SPECIALIST (ALL GENDERS)
to help drive excellence in trade compliance across Europe and beyond.
You’ll be at the heart of NSK’s international trade operations, ensuring customs compliance, managing authorisations, and supporting the business across Europe and the UK. In detail, you will:
Lead AEO compliance through internal audits, export control, and denied party screeningAct as the primary liaison with Dutch Customs and the Dutch Chamber of CommerceMaintain and monitor customs licenses, authorisations, and compliance processesDeliver insights via reports, audits, and risk assessmentsProvide expert advice and training on customs and trade matters to teams across EuropeTake charge of customs-related projects, working cross-functionally to deliver resultsSupport internal and external audits and inspectionsMonitor legislative changes and ensure procedures are always up to dateYour profile:
Minimum 5 years of experience in customs and international tradeStrong knowledge of import/export legislation, origin rules, tariff classification, bonded warehousing, and special procedures (IP, OP, RGR, etc.)Proven experience in working with UK and EU customs authoritiesHands-on experience in reading and interpreting trade legislationExposure to export control procedures and preferential origin processesFluent in English (additional languages a plus)Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skillsConfident communicator and trainer, able to engage both internal teams and external bodiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting toolsOur offer:
