Could you be the full-time Indirect Buyer (m/f/d) in Bautzen we’re looking for?

Your Future Role In Bautzen, 1,200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn, tram, and light rail vehicles, as well as high-speed trains, with a focus on final assembly, commissioning, and delivery. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Andre Daniel, the Site Project Director Bautzen and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Operational & Strategic Sourcing

• Manage sourcing projects and negotiations for high-value or complex needs.
• Approve sourcing and award decisions up to your assigned threshold as per Alstom policy.
• Execute global and regional commodity strategies; develop and enforce local strategies for assigned market codes.
• Lead supplier panel management, consolidation, and reduction initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Alstom’s Code of Ethics, EHS, and sustainability requirements
• Ensure process compliance, prevent maverick buying, and enforce governance.
• Collaborate with internal functions (Legal, E&C, Finance, EHS, Insurance) for contract approvals.
• Procurement Performance Reporting

Own KPIs for your commodity, including:

• Savings (cost reduction & avoidance)
• Payment terms optimization
• Contractual coverage
• Cycle time reduction

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in indirect sourcing.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel); data analysis and KPI reporting skills required.
• Familiarity with digital tools and AI-based solutions;
  Power BI is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP MM and Ariba (S2C, P2P, CLM) preferred.
• Languages:
  
  Fluent German and good English required.
