About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Global Medical Advisor (Rheumatology/Dermatology) to join our Global Medical Affairs team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing global medical strategies, ensuring scientific excellence and supporting both internal and external stakeholders with high‑quality medical insights. You will act as a trusted medical expert, contributing to evidence generation, scientific exchange and cross‑functional collaboration, while ensuring the highest standards of medical accuracy, compliance and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and execution of global medical strategies and tactical plans in Rheumatology/Dermatology.
- Translate strategy into actionable medical initiatives aligned with global priorities.
- Build and maintain deep scientific and clinical expertise in the therapeutic area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external experts (KOLs) and scientific societies.
- Provide timely, accurate responses to medical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support evidence generation activities (e.g., ISS, RWE, publications) in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Conduct medical assessments of pipeline and business development opportunities, partnering closely with Business & Portfolio Development and lead global advisory boards and expert meetings.
- Plan and deliver scientific exchange at international congresses (e.g., symposia, presentations).
- Ensure medical communications and materials are compliant with regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Brand Management, Market Access, Clinical Development and Regulatory teams.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or a related scientific role within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent – strongly preferred).
- Strong scientific, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to translate science into impactful medical strategy and communication.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in an international environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrix organization.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate to Hamburg/Wedel.
