Chemical Laboratory Technician – Organic Synthesis

Founded in December 2020, the Dresden-based company beeOLED is developing an innovative approach to substantially increase the efficiency and lifespan of displays. We develop, synthesize and market fine chemicals, taking the entire path from research work directly to product placement on the global market in a short space of time. At beeOLED, experienced synthesis chemists, analytical chemists, physicists, engineers, project managers and patent experts work closely together in an international team to establish our new idea on the market as quickly as possible.
Our customers are all manufacturers of OLED displays for smartphones and televisions. Financially strong investors and public funding support us on our way. During our current growth phase, we are looking to strengthen our team.
- Completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant
- Essential:
Practical experience in preparative organic synthesis. - Basic knowledge of analytical methods in organic chemistry.
- Strong desire and ability to work in a team with synthetic chemists.
- Careful execution of reactions and documentation of results.
- Sense of responsibility, reliability and safety awareness.
- In addition, you are punctual and reliable, and you work in a precise, goal-oriented, timely and independent manner within a team.
- Confident communication skills in German and at least a basic knowledge of English.
- Independent performance of laboratory syntheses in close cooperation with a PhD chemist on a laboratory scale up to approx. 2 litres.
- Processing and purification of substances using column chromatography, crystallisation, distillation or sublimation.
- Working with air-sensitive materials (Schlenk technique and glovebox), among other things.
- Sample preparation for the analysis of intermediates and products (NMR, ESI, GC-MS, HPLC, etc.).
- Documentation of results in the electronic laboratory journal.
- Independent handling of smaller projects with appropriate qualifications.
- General laboratory activities.
