Senior Power Trader

Charles Levick have partnered with a global Energy Trading business. We have been commissioned to find a highly motivated Senior Power Trader as they continue to expand their ever-growing team.

Your role & responsibilities

• Execute forward power trades across the French and Italian markets, utilizing market data, price signals, and sophisticated trading strategies.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of market conditions, regulatory updates, and macroeconomic factors to drive informed trading decisions.
• Develop and refine proprietary models to identify and exploit profitable opportunities in forward power markets.
• Manage and optimize risk exposure in forward trading, ensuring adherence to the firm’s risk management framework.
• Collaborate with the broader trading and analytics teams to exchange insights and continuously improve trading performance.
• Produce detailed market reports, summarizing trends, trading strategies, and performance metrics.

Must Have

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in trading within the European Power Markets, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong track record of success in the French and Italian markets.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with a sharp attention to detail and a talent for interpreting complex data sets.
• Proven capacity to make sound decisions under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive action.
• Extensive proficiency with trading platforms and tools specific to the European power markets, combined with a deep understanding of market behavior and trading strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with diverse teams and stakeholders.
