As the leader of cybersecurity for a major pharmaceutical corporation, your responsibilities will encompass strategy, governance, and execution across all cyber risk domains. Key duties include:

• Developing and implementing the global cybersecurity strategy—ensuring alignment with business objectives, global regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Leading risk assessment and management programs across IT, OT (operational technology) networks, manufacturing systems, clinical research platforms, and supply chain infrastructure.
• Managing global incident response and crisis management teams, overseeing breach investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional executives and board members to report on cybersecurity metrics, maturity levels, and improvement plans.
• Ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, TISAX (for automotive-related supply chains), and GDPR; and working with regulatory authorities in Germany and overseas.
• Building and leading a global cybersecurity team, recruiting and mentoring senior managers across regions, and setting organizational structure, policies, and KPI frameworks.
• Partnering with business units—R&D, manufacturing, IT, legal/compliance to embed secure design principles, data protection, identity & access management, and zero-trust architecture.
